Greetings from Jog Scotland Oban!

I just wanted to let you all at Jog Scotland Inverary about the Atlantis Leisure Race Series. Our Jog Scotties are looking forward to the Fearnoch 5km race on 24th May. Its a very informal race heading out from the Car Park at Fearnoch Forrest near Taynuilt. It is a no frills run and costs £2 to enter. There are no water stations and no prizes or medals! Its just for the hell of it! The race is run each year so its a good time trial. The route is along forestry commission tracks and has some small hills but isn't too arduous. We welcome joggers/ walkers and runners of all abilities to take part. So please spread the word to like minded individuals who may fancy a run with us.

June 26th is the Oban 10k. Some of the route is road and some along the newly tarmacced bike track. Some hills and again, joggers/ runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome. There will be water along the route and more information, application forms are available at www.atlantisleisure.co.uk.

For those working towards a half marathon the Atlantis half marathon takes place Octobe 2nd so plenty of time to start a training schedule with your jog scotties.

Jog Scotland Oban run out of Atlantis Leisure every Tuesday at 6 - 7pm and Thursdays 6.30 - 7.30 costing £2 and we would love for any jog scotties to join us if they are in the area and looking for running buddies.

All of our local races are listed on the Atlantis Leisure website and also the Atlantis sport and leisure FaceBook page. They also have a news letter that you can sign up for to keep up to date of any up coming events.

Happy Jogging from all at Jog Scotland Oban :O)
