 WhooYoo!!! Well, the Thursday girls certainly put a lot into it and are now reaping the benefits...Beginners no more! Janice, Penny and Jillian managed 10 and 12 minute runs on a very warm but very pleasant afternoon yesterday...no drowned rats this time. Ably accompanied by Jacs Penny disappeared off into the distance for her run whilst Janice determinedly pushed the goal posts all session with Jillian encouraging and supporting her all the way. A good week for the 2011 beginners with Janet doing an incredible 45 minute run earlier in the week. So proud of you all..well done!!

Planned route for Next Thursday starting at 7pm. Tuesday Group will take the clockwise route and meet up with the Tuesday Group who will be accompanied on the anti clockwise circuit and then all head back together to The George! Any questions just get in touch.

Whos stole the Sweetie Table??

A raher damp and squelshy run out to the Sweetie Table tonight, we ran on and on to the end of the road straight past the empty space where the table used to be...but no more. Well done all. Argyll and Bute Sports Volunteer of the Year

What can I say? Thank you very much for nominating me for this award...I was very proud and not a little emotional in accepting it and for those not there be sure (thanks for the support Kerry, Janice, Liz and Jillian)I pointed out your pain over the last few months of having to put up with a bald co runner! Cracking the four minute barrier!

Fabulous night with the Thursday Group who all managed 4x 5 minutes with 2 mins recovery!! Look how far we went....Fantastic going...keep it up and don't forget your home work to keep you supple and injury free. Try some 4-5 minutes and if you feel like it stretch to a 6. But don't  push too hard and stay comfortable.

Back to buisness

After a hospital hiatus for me I want to thank you all for carrying on in my absence especially Toby, Kerry and Liz for leading and supporting both groups. Thanks you as well for all your support to me personally. The Inveraray Thursday group are doing really well up to five minutes running and learning to judge the pace fantastically well. The Furnace Monday group are also doing really well...and Janice has been attending both groups and so is really motivated! Well done Janice. plans are afoot for a summer term run and meal at The George (reward time??). Thursday 30th June is the proposed but not definite date...I do need numbers for booking a table. An e mail has been sent round.
