Just a couple of things in the pipeline:- The Crinan Puffer entries are well under way and filling up so grab yours if you are planning on it this year. I am planning to hold a Sports Relief Mile on Thursday March 22nd at 6.30pm, if needs be we shall marshal it and then hold the usual js group afterwards.I will advertise on FB and maybe a poster or two and good old word of mouth. Any comments welcome. Folk can walk, hop, skip, do it with a friend three legged or even run it!!

Starry starry night...briefly!

It seems we were smiled on by whichever deity you feel like trusting in last night as the hail storms that dogged the day held off until we were doing our last stretches. The great 20 day mileage measure has started and so those who attended last night already have 3.7 under their belts. You can let me know how you are doing but I will only announce to the blogging and facebook community how you are doing if you wish me to. We are measuring our individual mileage from yesterday (19th) up to and including the 7th February. Please feel free to put on facebook etc your progress or any favourite runs as a motivation/encouragement to us all.. A reminder that the Crinan Puffer has opened for registration....link on previous blog entry. More details re The Gigha challenge on May 5th when I get them.

First meeting of the year...and a good turn out.

Lovely to see such a good turn out on Thursday...but Jacs, we missed you!!! A longer warm up followed by some lovely skipping and steps...If you look hard you can spot all the backwards and forwards stuff...Oh and remember...Freya and Penny did .5 mile further than the rest of us.......As discussed as a wee bit of motivation for those who wish to please record your mileage for 20 days from next Thursday onwards. You can submit it for public approval or I shall keep it in confidential.
Inveraray Jail Break Sadly this year’s race will not take place. There has been significant damage to the route after the recent storms and the estates team cannot guarantee the condition of the route so I have had to take the decision not to run the race this year. Hopefully by 2013 the route will be run-able again.
Entries for the Crinan Puffer are now open, this is a very popular FLAT 8.5 miler so get your entries in. Fiona and Alison are already in so who else is up for it?
Also the Glasgow 10k is open for entries...
