Too Hot? Too Rainy? Too Cold ?...

We have had it all this week but typical scottish weather this week has not held us back with the Tuesday group running in temperatures of 17' at 6pm. A timely reminder to make sure you drink plenty during the day if you are running at night, and to not over dress when exercising. Breathable T shirts and trousers will help keep you cool and comfortable. The other groups managed to skip the rain showers that dogged the remainder of the week. Good hill sprint session on Thursday led (literally) by Freya..the good news is that wen you are sprinting for 30s she lets you get away with two reps, total distance was a respectable 4.2miles mainly trail running. Friday Group was just Julie Anne and Fee, with Assunta joining in the last mile or so of a three mile run on the Castle grounds.
Good luck to all competing on Sunday and thank you to all marshals, timekeepers, donators of time and prizes...and Moira for being the sweep for the children's run.

Here is a fab app for any one just starting...you can start at week one which is the same as our walk to jog programme and build up to 25 minutes running through a schedule of three sessions/week. It costs £1.99, maybe less for other phones than the iPhone but looks great to me, like having your own jog leader right beside you. If you are past the beginning stage you can skip to a later week. It prompts you to begin running again or when to walk.
