Post Easter Bun Run...

 A very big thank you to all who came to the Post Eater Bun Run, either to run or to help, and for all your baking/gifts. A lovely sunny but chilly day so perfect for a run through the woods and by the shore of Loch Fyne. A very respectable 20 runners both local and from further afield set off on a variety of courses. The three mile out and back was the most popular route with Linda leading the way home in 30.39, Simone from Ormsary was very close behind in 31.08. Third to finish was very strong runner Ruby also from Ormsary third overall and first junior in 33.29. Donald was next along as second junior in 36.48 beating pal Alexander who was next in 39.31, the youngsters really made this race and next came Robbie to jump over the finish line with his Aunt, Liz in 42.12. The youngest competitor Tilly had a fantastic run doing the three miles in 42.55 with Mum Janet just a second behind. Alongside the three mile racers the four milers were finishing in good style with sisters Freya 33.40 and Rosie 35.29 showing their knowledge of the home ground, newcomer to the inveraray jogscotland group Wendy was on Rosie's tail coming back in 35.46. Meanwhile out on the longer route (5.5 miles) a more hilly route was on offer with spectacular views over Loch Fyne. Toby was first to finish in a time of 38.33 almost 8 minutes in front of the next finisher. Second and third place was definitely hard fought over with Garret (46.27) just pipping Dinah (46.40) on the down hills. Next to finish was Penny who has had a great year just getting better and better in 50.22, Guest runner Heather from Tyndrum (56.37) was next in and Jackie from Ormsary who rises to the challenges we throw her way every year was fifth to finish making it in well under the hour in 58.28. Coming in together to end the race were inveraray jogscotland members Alison and Fiona 1.10.32. It was fabulous to see all the children running and to see what we have all achieved over the last few years that we have run together. Well done all!!
