Round up and so many events...Go on, Sign up...you know you want to!!

So much to catch up on! the Friday group got off to a great start last week with four of us enjoying a run in the daylight and who would not be loving this fabulous weather right now...there is no excuse not to get out and about! The Tuesday Girls are doing really well with much longer sustained runs and a bit of circuits to support that all important core.  The Thursday Group had a straight run this week...4.2 miles around the back of Inverararay and the Castle Grounds. Several events are in the offing now as the evenings are getting lighter and spring is on its way. Foe all those beginners...oh and the rest of us too, now is the time to set yourself a goal and get motivated to keep running. Below are several events that are informal, fun and the odd walk is allowable!

Inveraray hits the three session a week high!

Good week for Inveraray runners and fabulous to see so much improvement. The Tuesday Group had a session of walk-jogging with more of the latter and less of the former and then a Chi Hills session from Janet followed by a cool down. Keep up the good work and try to get out and about in this good running weather.
Thursday group led by Alison had a good 3.75m session with a repeat of the hill running session from Janet...Thanks Girls.

New Friday Daytime Group got off to a great start on a lovely chilly morning jog to Carloonan Bridge and back the hard way! Well done to Alison, Jessica and Vicky. this session is as a social running group and is for all levels.

Tuesday Group week Four

Nearly three miles last night with the Tuesday Group...plus some circle runs and circuits. The latter may seems pointless to start with but the skill will come and they do help build up your core to help protect  you from injuries. Talking of injuries this seems a good site for checking out pains and aches and treatments/exercises etc.

Tuesday Group Homework
Continue out with the run/walk as you feel comfortable...be disciplined about restarting the run bit as your breathing recovers. The warm up walk could be shorter if you feel ready to run but cool down and stretch as usual. Repeat a couple of times in the next week. If you are ready for it try to increase slightly the times that you are running each time...even a few seconds is good. Well done last night and keep at it...Everyone is doing really well, and it is good to see that people who get a pull or a niggle are being sensible and taking care too....it helps in the long run (Ooops sorry for the pun!). Please could anyone who has not returned their JS form to me or filled one in please do so by next
week please.

This weeks route

New Group
Thinking of starting a daytime group in the morning at school drop off time for a social run out at your own pace...no training just a run. Friday is looking like a good day...please give me your comments.
