2012 Polaroid race series FYI

Good local race series...

• Helensburgh 10K -  17th May 2012
• Clydebank 10K - 24th May 2012
• Dumbarton 10K - 31st May 2012
• Vale of Leven 10K - 10th june 2012
• Loch Lomond 5K Fun Run - 10th June 2012 

Pricing remains an extremely competitive £15 per race for 10K single events (£13 for SAL affiliated) with a buy three get one free for the Series!  Series entrants will pay only £45 for all 4 races (£39 for SAL affiliated) and with that will get to choose either a technical series t-shirt OR a pair of Polaroid sports sunglasses.

The 5K event has held its price at £10 and all entrants will receive an event t-shirt.

All races will be chip timed with update to your mobile phone and finishers will receive a medal, Asics goody bag with Highland Spring water, Run-4-It discount vouchers and this year an additional gift from our new sponsor Arran Aromatics!  If that wasn't enough the Polaroid team will be on hand with spot prizes of Polaroid sunglasses.

Last February meeting..

 and the light nights will soon be on us but not yet! A great turn out last week and a good four miles pounded, stepped and sprinted out. Well done all. how are you all getting on with the mileage challenge? An 8 miler with Liz has bought my total up a bit but not enough!!

Sunday 29^th April 2012 – Crinan Puffer 8.5 miles – Our local race! A really fun event that is just that bit more of a challenge than a 10k. This would be a great goal to train for as it is a great feeling of achievement to run the length of the canal.

A foggy night for a run

 A fine night for a spooky run through the mists and woods last Thursday...Wendy, Fee, Alison and Penny braved the dark, puddles,mud and potential scary things in the woods for a very, very nearly 5 mile run! For those wishing to continue the mileage challenge we are starting again NEXT Thursday ( February 16th) and this time will make it 21 days to end on a Thursday. The challenge is of course to beat your own personal mileage that you set....so Alison get running!!

First February session...

 ...it must be nearly spring time. Great session led by Toby and an extra 3.7 miles to add onto the tally. A reminder that we are measuring our mileage over 20 days which ends next TUESDAY so  if possible could you get your total mileages to me by then. You are all doing amazingly well...congratulations all round girls and boys. To keep Janet's up to date she has done 12 miles...so well done her. The Corner Family tallies read as follows so far.
